Dialogue @pharma.be: a call for Ambassadorship of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals


Over 240 key actors in development and healthcare attended the Dialogue @pharma.be event in Brussels on June 3rd, 2016.

dialogue @ pharma.be 2016‘Good health and well-being’, the 3rd Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), was the lively topic of discussion at the Dialogue. An unprecedented mix of authorities, academics, pharmaceutical companies, NGOs, and healthcare professionals entered the challenging debate ‘How can we, by joining forces, further contribute to the new global 2030 roadmap?’

Already today – researchers in Belgium have achieved remarkable results in reducing child mortality, improving maternal health and tackling HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other diseases. Belgium’s expertise in the R&D, production and distribution of essential medicines and vaccines gives new hope to patients worldwide. Still, there is a long way to go. Speakers at the Dialogue @pharma.be underlined the value of “health partnerships” between the public and the private sector in order to make safe and effective treatments available to everyone.
