27/05/2019 is recruiting a Market Access Expert to reinforce its market access team in Brussels is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced full-time bilingual colleague to support the negotiations of managed entry agreements. is the trade association for the innovative biopharmaceutical industry in Belgium and represents over 130 both small and large innovative pharmaceutical and biotech companies that research and develop medicines in Belgium. Our members are a major contributor to the Belgian economy. They supply 80 per cent of all medicines used in Belgium and have 37000 employees.

Key responsibilities and job functions

  • You represent in the RIZIV-INAMI Working Group on managed entry agreements (MEA)

  • This representation involves the provision of customized advice to member companies regarding their managed entry agreement files, with a special focus on the preparation of the meetings with the Working Group, and on the analysis and discussion of the proposals.

  • You are involved in the entire process of market access for those reimbursement requests that have a great probability of resulting in a MEA

  • You provide customized technical and strategic advice to member companies on price and market access options.

  • You analyse member companies’ price and reimbursement files regarding content, argumentation and consistency.

  • You participate in’s policy activities

  • You analyse policy developments regarding price and market access.

  • You keep our members up to date with the latest issues regarding market access by sharing this information with them through newsletters, training sessions on price and reimbursement topics, and information sessions.

  • You participate actively in’s working groups where member companies discuss and develop their points of view on the access policy in Belgium.

Desired skills and experiences

  • A life science Master’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pricing and reimbursement function in Belgium ; this implies a good understanding of the market access process and of its current issues and trends

  • Strong negotiation skills are key and are ideally underpinned by a factual experience with MEA negotiations

  • A positive, solution-oriented attitude based on a systematic analysis of a file, and on previous experiences

  • A team player who has the ability to collaborate with others to leverage internal expertise and achieve mutual objectives

  • Bilingual in French and Dutch, and can also communicate well in English ; you feel comfortable in public speaking and you have strong presentation skills

  • Service-oriented towards our member companies by paying attention to their needs and providing customized assistance

  • Willing to work outside of normal office hours when this is needed to prepare the Committee for Reimbursement of Medicines or the MEA Working Group
