Info session

Social media and apps are evolving at a rapid pace and offer new possibilities to communicate. Yet, the strict pharmaceutical regulatory framework shows gaps when applying the advertising rules for medicines to the current reality of new technologies.

At the info session @ on March 21st, 2017, Liesbeth Weynants, lawyer at HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER, will address the current state of affairs of social media in the context of advertising of medicines. The do’s and don’ts of social media use for companies will be shared.

The info session will offer insights in the quality of the written information by members to healthcare professionals. Over the past 6 years, the independent Bureau for Control on Written Communication (BCWC) has been monitoring the compliance of the written communications with the provisions of the Code of Deontology and with the legal and regulatory provisions (art. 65bis of the Code of Ethics). Marc Van Grimbergen, President of the BCWC, will present the conclusions of the bureau.
